Just noticed that the number of threads has just hit 1000 even. Well, actually, this thread makes it 1001. The Coffee Room has hit a milestone!

Now that its been here and has endured 1000 threads of laughing, crying, flame wars, not so flame wars, politics, CEO's, and just plain ole shooting the breeze, it is difficult to remember the times before this forum exsisted. Also, a special thanks to the people who helped to talk Frank into it (myself included ) and to the people who have kept it alive over the time of its exsistance.

Here we go! The birth of the Coffee Room. From page 29, the Coffee Room's first ever post: (posted February 20, 2002 07:57 AM) Originally posted by PianoWorld: This forum was created at the suggestion of some of our regular members as a place to discuss topics that aren't related to music. Because I like to think of Piano World as a place for friends from around the world to meet I decided to go ahead with a general topic forum. Please remember the rules! Our web site is family oriented. No foul language, no bad-mouthing other members. The main idea of our forums is to be able to help each other (and to stay in touch). My 3 jobs prevent me from having much time to participate in the forums, but I will be watching you Frank B. Piano World[/b] Thanks again Frank in creating this community for us.

jgoo,
Wasn't it you who suggested The Coffee Room to Frank? If so, three cheers to you as well!

The name "Coffee Room" wasn't my idea but the basic idea of a forum like this here was. I had emailed Frank about it privatley (an email which was never responded to for some reason) weeks before any mention of it on the boards to try and pursuade him too. Once others got in on it as well, he gave in. Thanks again Frank, and to all who helped with pursauding.
