Re Kinks: Do You Remember Walter is just the ticket. Waterloo Sunset may be my favorite song of all time. Such brilliance, and we in the US were denied it at the time because Ray and the boys got drunk during their first US tour (or tours?) and couldn't get visas for the next tour. There was a virtual blackout until Lola broke through (another great song).

And now, something for our friends in Maine.... Great stuff in a folky, Cat Stevens and Van Morrison kind of vein. The guy also has a really interesting life story. This is his debut album. I recommend it highly.

I'm not familiar with grades, but I often see RCM references in posts here. It seems to me grade 9 is high compared to what I usually see. BOTW is not hard. How can that be grade 9?

Sigur Ros is truly fantastic, in a laying down in bed, forgetting about everything that is going on around you, sort of way. As for Jazz, Medeski Martin and Wood has recently (and not so recently) put out some great stuff (though, I would tend to classify them more as a jam band than jazz band). For some really weird, yet, strangely addicting music check out "Gang Gang Dance": Their new album is entitled "God's Money"

The longest thread ever, I do believe. PF, CR, or anywhere else on this site.
Thank you gryphon, for a wonderful amalgamation of music.
