Tommy James: I think we're alone now

Monkee's: Last Train to Clarksville

James Taylor: Fire and Rain

Beach Boys: Barbara Ann (at least I think it was the Beach Boys)

Pink Floyd: Comfortably Numb

Wow, you can do this forever can't you!

Like you're allowed to play that song in the house! laugh

All in all, some brilliant choices, Jack--for Emily, just excellent. [/b]
You won't hear it in my house! Voted by moi as the most chauvinistic song ever written. As a young girl I used to love that song to dance to. Nice beat. Then I grew up and realized the Stones were pigs. Talented pigs. But, pigs.

Really?
I never saw the lyrics or title in print.
The way he pronounces it sounds like barrette to me.

And you know me Penny.
I don't fit the widely held stereotypes very well.

I did not know this was from Bach's St. Matthew Passion, although I DID know that it was a hymn we sang in church when I was a kid: "O King of might and splendor, Creator most adored."

Jack,
This is driving me crazy. It's like playing Name That Tune but I'm trying to name the artist without googling. Who did you say performed Sky Pilot? For some unknown reason I love that song.

Actually, I think it was Eric Burden, after the Animals broke up.

EDIT: Nope. Just checked Google. It WAS the Animals.

(I have so much 1965-1975 rock trivia in my head, there is no room for anything else.)

Favorite Animals Song: We Gotta Get Out Of This Place.

Oh, yes, those are good, too. Possibly even better than Sky Pilot but I still have to go with Sky Pilot for some unknown reason. see edited post above.

I also like the Zombies and the Kinks but I'm still having trouble with my memory. Any suggestions?

Good edit!
well, i beg to differ, but i think on that particular album, the best song is "Attics of my Life", with "Ripple" a close second...
