I remember that on the windows 98 install CD, there is a free game called hoovers(or hovers) or something like that,,, It is a game with karts that float in the scenery of mazes. Does anyone know if the game is available on internet?

A name like "hoovers" would make me think it was about vacuum cleaners. Or cocaine addicts.

Or maybe a restaurant with large uddered dairy cows as waitresses.

I'm pretty sure that would put me right off my meal!

The name of the game is Hover, but I haven't seen it anywhere other than on the Win98 CD.

I love that game! I used to play it a lot. I got it on the Windows 95 disc though. I'm not sure where you could get it on the internet, but try searching a web engine. Your bound to find it somewhere.

Zorro,

I have that game on my old win95 CD. It is called Hovers and the entire application takes up about 16 or 17 MB with all the subdirectories. If I copy the entire group of directories to my hard drive it appears to run normally so it would seem that it is a stand alone application that requires no external .dlls not already found on your operating sysytem (I am running 2000 professional BTW). You should be able to borrow someone's old win95 disc and copy these directories onto your machine thae same way I did and it should work. I maybe could email it to you as well but I may have to zip it up if your ISP won't allow a file transfwer that large.

Please send an email to the address found in my profile and I will send it to you.

To all of you who are about to tell me I am infringing a license agreement, I have the doors and windows boarded and the firearms loaded in preparation for the Microsoft Police. :p

Reminds me of The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams. A cow walks out, anounces that she will be the main course for the evening, and then proceeds to make suggestions about which cuts of herself would make the best steaks and preperation.

I remember that game, Hover. It came on our Win95 CD. It was so much fun and very addictive. It's funny - I was thinking about this game recently. I think my parents still have our Win95 CD, I'll have to see if it'll work in XP.

I just got a new graphics card - ATI All-In-Wonder VE. It kicks ass! I can finally play my games again. YAY!!!
