OK, so now speaking of my mother (who, thankfully, never visits PW!), who'd like to take a stab at her first name? I'll give you a hint: it's an alternate spelling for an old-fashioned name that has surged in popularity in the past 15 years or so.

Another hint: One with this name ditched her prince charming.

No, not Ella. The "prince charming" in the hint is not from a fairy tale.

No, not Greta.
Another hint: You can find someone on PW using her name (well, more or less).

Originally posted by apple*: sarah.. [/b] Ding, ding, ding. However, she spells it Sara. Now, funny thing is, she really doesn't like that name, and instead is known to just about everyone by her middle name. It's short and sweet, but it isn't shortened. Any guesses?

Candy is sweet, but not short enough. Ruth and Joan have the correct number of syllables, but the wrong number of letters.

The name does not have four letters, nor is a shortened form of any other name.

You mean it's not, like, Chris, normally short for Christine (this was my guess for Cindy's name) but actually christened (getting confused now) Chris?
