Well, well, well! Pique uses the term "landfill piano" at least once in her story.

I wonder where that came from?

(Awesome book!)

Pique, congratulations on the fantastic review of your book in the New York Times! Do you realize that on the the very back page of your review was a review of a Condoleeza Rice biography with a cartoon of the Secretary of State playing...you guessed it...a grand piano!

Hi, again, Pique:

Just popping in for a minute - you may find the article I just posted "The internal 'orchestra' of the earth" of interest. \:\)

I'm not sure if everyone can do this or it's just an admin function (I should know this stuff).

If you click on a members name in any post of their's, you should get their profile (as a pop up). At the top of their profile should be a link to "recent posts", listing all their, well, recent posts :-)

Perri,

I wanted to congratulate you on your wonderful accomplishment - well done!

And to tell you that your book was the *only* birthday present I asked for, and received. \:\)

Now if I can just figure out how to get that autograph... ;\)

Absolutely not! I need to read the sequel: "Marlene Speaks: How I Chose My Human"

\:\)

Seriously - I loved the book! Like all good writers, you made us feel that you have written about "our" experiences too... maybe not exactly with Marlene, but with life.

I'm confused

I thought our writer's name was 'Perri'. Where does 'Pique' come from? Is it a nickname?

Sorry if I've missed something obvious

Perri,

I just finished reading your book. Thank you so much for having written it. Not only did it enlighten me on the whole subject and provide material for further personal research, it was so good that it kept me reading late at nights! Also, more crucial at this time, it helped me retain my sanity after having purchased my new piano that keeps sounding false to my ears. I will be patient and hope everything turns out like it did for you. Thanks again and I hope your book becomes a great success!

Lucie

for those of you who have been asking where you can get a personally inscribed first edition of the book (going fast--second printing is in the works), there is now a new source:

fact & fiction books
ffbook@montana.com
call toll free at 1.800.769.7323

i signed a bunch last night, but will go dowtown to personally inscribe yours to you or whoever you wish if you request it. the owner's name is barbara, but anyone there can help you.

That was extraordinarily quick, wasn't it? Unusual nowadays for two printings in hard cover, especially within such a short time.

Shows the power of good writing based on deep research and a really[/b] big circle of friends...

Congratulations
