It appears that Lang Lang became Bang Bang, per this reviewer:

Anyone has heard this relatively more recent recording? Do you agree with David?

Holy cow! David Hurwitz IMO has been right on with his previous reviews that I've read, and a 2/6 rating is the worst I've seen on that site! Amazingly though, DG has somehow come up with positive reviews for his playing and the recording on their site. Makes you wonder.

I haven't heard the recording, but I'll probably buy it just because I'm curious and not because I like LL or am in need of those pieces. (Hough's would be enough for a very long time, and it received a 10/10 rating from Hurwitz on the same site.) But DG will win again...I will go pay $18 and listen to it. Isn't it strange how we humans sometimes can't look away from something that's terrible or disgusting?

Andrew, you want to post that link over in the Pianists Corner? I know everyone is sick of LL talk, but this is a really good, and long review from someone who's pretty well known and respected in the classical music industry. Maybe it will be enlightening to some, while I know it will be enjoyable to all.

I'm just concerned your post won't be noticable here.

I normally would try to stay out of 'trouble' as much as I can. Here I feel I can share with the board something for those interested and hopefully won't cause another fist-fight...
