The Erard "extra-grand concert model" piano from Paris, 1877 was brought over to the Ashburnham Community church from the Frederick Collection.

This was my first opportunity to enjoy hearing the piano and cello in a combined performance during one of the Frederick historical concerts. Even though I was unfamiliar with most of the works presented, with the exception of Rachmaninoff's Vocalise, I sat in awe watching the performers and was delightfully overwhelmed with the music that filled the room.

Everytime I allow myself the opportunity to attend one of the Frederick's concerts, I come away feeling rejuvenated; life's probems are on hold, my drive home is relaxed and my thoughts are at peace.

There was one encore for today's performance at which time Stephen and Katherine played Debussy's - Beau soir - Beaufitul Evening. A piece well chosen for the closing of such a phenomenal performance.
