only the first couple of episodes each season to laugh at the people who genuinely think they can sing and have their delusions nurtured by all around them only to get mad when three judges tell them they suck....... it's priceless..... and a little cruel.

Elliott Yamin's got great pipes. He's my favorite as well.

But it's true, a lot of the time it's trash. I feel guilty subjecting my little toddler to this -- he covers his ears, rolls all around the bed in pained anguish and yells "no no no no no!" whenever the idol wannabes take the stage. But I just can't help it, I'm addicted!
