Who will be the next US president? (Will it be a woman?)
And why?
And isn't it just a little unfair that such a world-powerful person is elected by Americans only?

I would really like to hear some Americans' opinions on this (- and some non-americans' ofcourse...)

Either will be an improvement over what we now have.

I would be curious exactly why you think other nations should have a say in our elections. Should I get to vote for your leader?

I know the arguement you are trying to make, and I fear the more Liberal amongst my fellow Americans might even agree, but it is a trully silly proposition. You are also free to join us, in which case you could vote for our president.

Oh, my choice?

Condoleeza Rice. Smart, educated, pianist, and beautiful to boot. I doubt she'll run though.

It's a little early in the game for me. One thing I'm sure of, I'd never vote for anyone connected with the Bush administration, look at the colossal mess he's gotten this counrty into.

ditto here...

I'm liking Obama and Giuliani myself. I was tremendously impressed with how Rudy reacted during 9/11.

I have no problem with folks liking Giuliani, as long as the reason has nothing to do with his supposed effect on crime in NY (see Freakonomics!).

Monica: just curious why you seem repelled by Clinton.

P.S. Hey, what is this ...the coffee room or something? :p

Yikes a new forum to watch.

Is this akin to playing a second instrument? laugh

The only observation I can make is that in the last several elections I can think of (with the exception of the incumbent) the early front runners faded and a relative unknown or dark horse emerged to win either the party or the election.

Maybe we are noodling on the wrong people?

On the other hand name recognition is worth alot.

Can you imagine if Hillary wins and then Jeb Bush wins after her? We would go Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush- 36 years of dynastic rule shared by two families. We are already over half way there.

What then would other countries think?

Vote for the one who is more openly crazy, so that the rest of washington will more likely block their nonsense.

Yep, it would be 32+ years of crime-family control of the nation.
