Hey, I was wondering, do any of you have a nickname for your piano?

You know how some people name their cars Herbie, or Blue, or Banana, things like that. Does anyone do that with thier pianos, and, if so, what do you call your piano?

To start off, mine's Soggie! laugh

I don't know if you've read it but there has already been a thread similar to this. I told you then what mine was called but i'll tell you again anyway. I christened my pino Hugh Jeremy Laurson. Its a combination of Hugh Laurie and Jeremy Clarkson.

You're probably wondering why on Earth i called my piano this and rightly so. I decided to name my piano what i did as i have a MAJOR crush on both Hugh and Jeremy (yes thats right, anyone who actually knows who Jeremy Clarkson is will be thinking - What the heck?????????? But i can't help it - my emotions take strange courses!)

Something like 'piano nicknames' - i think it was in the pianist corner but it may have been in piano forum - if you do a search you should find it pretty easily.

You don't know who either is? I guess you're not from England then?

Woah, you're from England?

And piano nicknames is about brand names, not personal names.

Thanks.

And yeah, i went back and read that thread after i last posted to you and i realised it was more about brands than personal names. Sorry about that.

Yeah, somehow you found the right thing. It's from the Red Green show. It's a comedy set in Canada. It's hilarious! laugh

I was wondering if they show it in England.

Here it comes on the Public Broadcasting Station (PBS) at about 10 at night.

It's about a guy that makes all kinds of things from junk he finds in his polluted lake town. It's funny cuz there's no way his projects would work! laugh

My time of course! But I'm sure they would adjust it in England to match the local time zone. :p

Oops, I just realized something. We really should get back to the original topic. What does everyone call their pianos? wink

My piano's name is Sally. I'm sure many of you can figure it out...and any former military might get it right away. wink
