I thought New Yorkers were taxed more. Long Island had very high property taxes. Most of this was the individual taxes by individual school districts and other overlapping governmental agencies (big problem in Nassau County where I live; not sure of Suffolk).

I am from Bend Oregon. Moved 3 years ago from Woodinville Wash. Trying ,to get a Piano Performance group started, miss Ladies Musical Club and all of the opportunities to perform. We will have our 3rd meeting on May 31st. Should be about 20 people in attendance. Musica 71

I am going to Seattle on May 17th and playing my competition program for WIPAC ( Wash. Int. Piano Arts Council) in Wash. D.C. which takes place mid July. Have worked my butt off to get ready. One needs 55 min. prepared in case you make all 3 levels. Am playing at a friends home.

How on earth did you pick Utah? I'm sure it's lovely (I've never been), but it seems such an odd choice.

As a (former) NYer it certainly felt like we were the highest taxed in the nation. The Tax Foundation website ( http://www.taxfoundation.org/ ) has some interesting data. I don't know what their rep is, but it seems pretty straightforward.

Kentucky: among the most beautiful of states, highly regionally varied but all blessed with nature's bounty. Louisville: varies by square mile, something for almost everyone, hard to pigeonhole.

I live and work in Northampton which is in a central part of England. So central infact its in an area called the Midlands

I'm about 1 hours drive from London, Birmingham and Leicester and 2 hours from Liverpool and Manchester. One day I hope to live in Southern Ireland where my father is from. I think there are laws in Ireland against doing anything with any sense of urgency.
