Reminds me of the bewilderment in peoples' faces when I say "he's got that from his biological father" answering their questions about my son's piano playing for example.

Usually I remember to add: "that's me too..."

I owned a Boston Terrier whose name was Lord Brummell. (Actually, he owned me.) I loved Brummell as much as he loved me; we were the closest of friends and I'll never forget him.

I got mine from a very stoned drummer and it stuck

Betty Patnude is my real name having used BPPS for my piano studio (initials)and added the zip code bpps98374, and Piano Power on other sites. It was getting hard to remember which one to use at which site even after writing them down. Absolute confusion. Why couldn't I have chosen one and stuck with it? So I used my name this time thinking I won't forget this one.

The Patnude part: I met my future husband and heard his last name indistinctly, looked it up in his college yearbook where it was spelled several different ways, and I had no idea which was correct, or how you said it with all those extra letters in the spellings. It was 6 dates later, I asked to see his drivers license. Fortunately, he laughed about it and showed me his legal name which had been anglicized from lots of letters in a French spelling.

My other passion is motorcycling and I have owned two cruisers, both Honda Valkyries; but not any more. Now I've got a BMW R1150R, but I still like to 'cruise'... oh, never mind, here it is anyway:



My avatar represents, perhaps unfairly, my current efforts to progress on the piano... one day I'll change it to a running greyhound!

Mine's from my favorite contemporary music group, the Moody Blues - and keys for keyboards. They use Kurzweil K2500X and PC2, I play a PC2 and K2661 (and SP88X and computer music system), also 4 & 5 string bass guitar and autoharp.

I'll eventually code up an avatar, right now I use the BMW logo for my 96 328 convertible.

A broad interest in music - classical (especially baroque era), contemporary worship music, complex rock like Rick Wakeman's playing, the Moodies, dance music (my wife and I are into Ballroom Dancing).

I serviced electronic organs, keyboards, and amps for years. Did a little playing also. Taking piano lessons along with my wife and granddaughter (playing the S&S B at the college got me a case of GAS - gear aquisition syndrome). Play with the church worship band. Getting better is slower than I expected, but worth it!
