High school music/everything else teacher (In-built relief.. it's like a casual but permanently employed)

Recently retired teacher/Asst. Principal. Now working as an adjunct at a local college.

I am a Network Administrator & Customer Service Administrator for a small company that manufactures digital proofing equipment.

I get to not only do the geek-stuff like setup servers and help users, I also put in orders, coordinate shipping nationally as well as internationally, and talk to customers on the phone.

I am a computer consultant (media tape librarian) in a major bank in New York City. I used to perform a similar task similar to John until my position was outsourced.

Where to begin? I once owned a bakery then managed another one; was a mortgage banker (special loans), then worked for years as a temp doing clerical work.

In 1988 I got a job for a Fortune-500 company installing mainframe hardware, then PCs, then did Helpdesk, PC Needs Assessment, Email support, then Web support.

In that same company I finally ended up as a webmaster for a gigantic Intranet; I supported some very high profile websites that would be familiar to everyone here.

Alas, I was laid off in 2001.

Happily, I have been supporting myself full-time as a musician since then. I have a demanding job as a church organist and accompany many choirs.

Professor of psychology at the University of Kentucky, eagerly awaiting one of those early retirement buyouts so I can stay home and play piano all day.

Full-time student. If that doesn't count... part-time freelance webdesigner.

Pianist, piano teacher, hopeful pedagogy master's student, freelance writer, cat mom.

I hold signs for a tax company. It's actually really embarassing.

I`m a cook in a pub. The other pub over the road where I spend my breaks has a well looked after upright but they`ve never let me play it :-(

who ever asks for permission to play a pub piano? Just sneak up and grab a few bars before being thrown out kicking and screaming "I'll be bach and when I am I'll be able to play!!!!"

I'm a financial advisor with a financial institution. Definitely looking forward to early retirement so I'll have more time to play the piano.

Me too!... can't wait to be liberated from my boring job as a Technical Editor/Author for a well-known aircraft manufacturer (not Boeing, the other one!).

I am a high school student. Home schooled of course, the only way to go! At only 16

I am a housewife and mommy. I used to be a teacher does that count?

I started out doing electrical work but found it to be a tough job and now I'm starting a new field of TV production.

I'm looking to either be a camera operator in a studio or on-location or an editor as I'll be certified with Avid Express though the local college.

I don't even know where to start looking for work in this type of field though...

I am a full time PhD student (finishing thank God).

Other than that full time composer for concert hall pieces (got 2 commissions for 2008! and I'm truly excited that I can't stop mentioning it everywhere I go :p ) and composer for computer games (not films, mind you).

I also teach piano to a kid.

Now, how can one have 2 full time jobs and another totally part time, is a mystery even to me. :p

I'm a Geographic Analyst for a company called NAVTEQ.

We fieldwork and prepare mapping data which gets used in sat-nav systems by Garmin and BMW.

I studied in computer engineering, been programmer for a while. Now I’m an associate producer in a video game company (will be know as Activision Blizzard anytime soon) where I manage a team of over 60 designers, artists and programmers to make the best games in the world! (We are hiring if this interest anyone!)

I am a commercial pilot. It is perhaps the most fun job out there. Love it!

I taught English at our local high school for 34 years and retired in June. Now I go in 2 days a week to substitute, catch up on the gossip, see my friends, administer tests, assign worksheets, and leave all the actual WORK for the "real" teacher.
As for those dreams of having the time, finally, to play the piano? I'M THERE, BABY!!
