1.6 gpf. I have to give them credit for this one.
Years ago I had a girlfriend who had a fish motif in the bathroom. Everything had to do with fish, needless to say she would have wanted one of these. Heck, she is probably still into fish and her current "prisoner of war" probably already has one installed.

Cindy - When I saw the title of the thread I was going to respond, "Probably because you have good taste, like me." Then I saw the item. Take it back! Actually, I've been going to experiment with putting gold fish in my horse troughs. SUpposed to keep the algae down.

Jodi - Have you actually used goldfish? Do you leave them in in the winter? I have tank heaters in my troughs, but I would have to be careful not to let the water get too low.

(Ice formation was never a problem, but lack of water was. Use an automatic filling device if you put fish in your stock tanks! )

Yes, they can stay in the troughs in the winter. I just read something that said they could actually freeze, (or close to it) and stay alive. But a tank heater would keep that from happening anyway. Just get the little feeder fish - they're cheap - You might start out with two, since you may lose one. The barn I boarded at had goldfish in a couple of their tanks. The water was always much cleaner looking compared to the tanks without fish. I have a small pond next to my front door. We have several goldfish - they are totally cool. Jodi

I had a series of those little goldfish you can buy at any pet store and put into a round bowl with the ubiquitous blue gravel and ceramic castle . Of course many's the time when they floated sideways. I discovered that if I rescued them early enough and put them into a bowl of ice water, they would revive and be just fine. Go figure.

I guess they act as filters and eat all the horse mouth gunk. Meanwhile the little fish poop is so tiny next to the huge tank that no one realises it's there - that or else the sides aren't made of clear glass, so it's just a con.

Nope, the horses don't swallow the fish. And, kenny - the water gets drunk and replenished. The amount of waste the fish create in a big stock tank is minimal, so it's not a problem. Heck, it's not a problem in my little pond, either. And nobody drinks out of that except the neighbors cat. Jodi

So here I am, swimming around minding my business, eating mosquito larvae, and then, all of a sudden, a big hairy horse mouth plunges into my world and tries to eat me!
