What's your favorite piano moment?[/b]

Several years ago my wife and I took a trip to Nashville, Tn. We did a lot of site seeing and naturally part of it was the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum (the old one.) You could purchase an additional tour of the RCA recording studeo just a few blocks away. I think it was an old location for RCA.

We purchased this and took the tour. We entered the control room and was told about how tunes are engineered and mastered etc. Then we went into the actual studio. Our guide pointed to a grand piano in one corner and stated that this was the very piano on which Floyd Cramer (sp.) recorded the hit "Last Date."

He then asked if anyone would like to play a tune on it. I immediately jumped up and sat behind the grand. What did I play? Why, "Last Date" of course. \:D

As I said this was many years ago even before the new Hall of fame Museum. I have trouble remembering last week. \:\)

As far as the "slipnote style" not sure what that means but I played it like you hear on the recording (I play by ear.)

I love playing Floyd Cramer! Hard to find anyone who plays his music.

If you like "Last Date" you'll love "Loser's Weepers". Actually, I have all his piano works. Amazing arrangements!
