Bernard,
It was lovely of you to suggest that I bring Allegra. I wasn't sure how people would feel about having a small child around, even one who loves the piano and practices without being asked. I think that I will stay home with her Saturday afternoon to be certain that she takes a nap, and then bring her to dinner. Alan will take her home if she gets tired.
Would you bring me my piano pictures Saturday evening? I've intended to call you about them but my schedule has been nuts the past three weeks.
By the way, I have tickets reserved for the recital at Irving's on Friday night. Depending upon how much work I get done tomorrow, I might not be able to use them. Should anyone need them, they could keep in touch with me at femmedada@aol.com to see how my day is shaping up.
I am so looking forward to seeing everyone!
All of the best,

Linda in PA,
I just read your post that you will not be able to make the gathering. I'm so sorry. I was looking forward to meeting you!

Hey gang, I just heard from Irving Faust, and there's no problem at all for us to show up at 3:30. They just wanted to know in advance approximately when, as Saturdays can be busy days. Those of you who are going to the Indrik Laul concert there tonight, have fun...I may not be there as I have endless PR work to do on an upcoming concert of my own. But it does sound terrific. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Hi all.. I posted this on the other forum:
If you still have it in you, you might want to hit a piano club afterwards. There are two I can think of offhand that are close by. On W46th between 8th and 9th there is a place called Danny's - the resident piano player is Jerry Scott - he wont play any classical, but he is very talented. If you get bored there, go right across the street to Dont Tell Mamas where Bobby Peaco is playing... oftentimes Broadway performers show up. Guaranteed to have a good time.

Hi Calin, that was a pretty cool concert wasn't it. I especially liked listening to the history of the country of Estonia by the man from the consulate, and also the history of the piano company by Dr. Laul.
I can't get over the disc system... makes me chuckle whenever I think about it... They chose perfect repertoire to show it off I think. The biggest drawback it would seem to me is that everything has to be played quite metronomic, don't you think?
Anyhoo, I'm going to be a little late too, but I'll catch up.
See you all later.
