I'm offering my place for a party at the end of July or beginning of August. I'm in Greenpoint, Brooklyn (directly across the river from midtown).

I can do 7/30, 7/31, 8/6 or 8/7.

Any takers?

I can do any of those dates. Count me in.

FWIW - I would have suggested pushing it out a bit further, like the end of August, since we just had one last week. Of course, I'm a social guy and Greenpoint is 10 minutes away on the G, so I'll go whenever. My concern is more for those (with kids) whose spouses may not appreciate being left alone one Sunday out of four. (the names Bootsy and Grotriman come to mind)

Aha. I could 8/27 or 8/28 instead. What's everyone's pleasure?

Those dates work for me as well, as do the original four.

Bootsy and Grotriman - can you chime in???

My family is on vacation that weekend. Hopefully they are taking me with them. So I guess that 7/30 works better for me.

Thanks Bernard!

I'm not sure of our vacation schedule just yet. I'll try to work it around the agreed piano date.

Dear All,

I'll do my best to visit Bernard's any time he invites me, although jon-nyc is right about the spouses, the weekend childcare issue, and timing in general for us parents of smaller children. However, I think that it's OK for some of us to sometimes miss a session, with regrets. In any case, I'd hope that I too could get away for a few hours on the last weekend in July, and I couldn't yet predict dates for our long-overdue whole-family vacation, vaguely scheduled for late August.

Thanks Bernard!

Bernard, we are driving home the weekend of Aug 27-28 from Delaware! We could always make a pit stop, drop the kids at my sister's in NJ and head to beautiful Brooklyn!

PM me if things are scheduled for that weekend and we will work it in! Would love to see you and Preston again, not to mention some of the other NY members!

Any Sunday works for me that has been offered, but as soon as you decide, post it and set it in stone so I can request off work. My boss makes the schedule about 2 weeks in advance, so the sooner, the better.

Thanks Bernard!

I'm almost certain that 7/31 works for me. Just need to check with my better half.

OK. Let's say 7/31 at 2pm. And... it looks like we're going to have a guest from CA! Yeah!

Christopher T, take note! Hope to see you here on the 31st. Yes!

If anyone has any questions please feel free to PM me. I'll be getting up directions to my place for distribution to all.

I too will check with my better half, and cross-reference my potential vacation schedule.

But I do hope to be there, as I love Bernard, his playing, his repertory -- and I'm sure that I will love playing his piano for that matter.

Let's play four-hands, Bernard -- Brahms probably, his own arrangements of his string quartets perhaps? (Or, please tell me what you might prefer to play, unrehearsed. Not that I wouldn't enjoy rehearsing.)

Best,

Bootsy (sometimes called David Pannett)

You're invited to bring the whole family! Please. It will be marvelous if your wife could come.

Also--and I can't guanantee it--but at the present it looks like your son will not be the only youngster here.
