Join Us For The
Mason & Hamlin 2005 Factory Tour
Coming Up Tuesday May 10, 2005
This is a fantastic tour! Mason & Hamlin does a wonderful job of hosting, and the tour is amazing.
If You Think You Are Interested in Attending[/b]email me
events@pianoworld.com They are planning on having a CC available for this tour (the one Irving had at Faust-Harrison's for the "Save the Children" fund raiser ).
Details[/b]
Tentative Date:[/b] Tuesday, May 10 (must be their favorite date, we did it on May 10th last year)

Duration:[/b] Plan on most of the day.

Pictures:[/b] Yes, you can take pictures (as long as you don't interfere with the work going on).

Tour Size Limit:[/b]
To make the PianoWorld Tour safe and enjoyable, we need to cap the attendance on the Tour to a

maximum of 25 people[/b].

Attending:[/b]
If more than 25 people apply, we will start a list of alternates. (If you've already attended a tour but would like to go again, email me so I can get you on the list).
What You Will See[/b] http://www.pianoworld.com/ubb/ubb/ultimatebb.php?/topic/22/52.html (pictures from last years tour)

Costs[/b] There is no charge for the tour. You are responsible for your own transportation and lodging.
Keep in mind you will be touring a live factory in full production mode. Lots of dangerous machinery, tools, and many people moving around.
The group needs to stay together, stay out of the way of the workers, and LISTEN to what the tour director (Bruce Clark) is saying.
We do a LOT of walking (and standing). Wear comforable shoes and clothes. The factory is clean (other than sawdust), but you may brush up against a piece of machinery, pile of wood etc.
Our thanks to the Burgett's (owners), our own Cecil Ramirez (national sales rep), Bruce Clark (piano designer, technician, and tour moderator), and all the other fine folks at Mason & Hamlin for hosting this event.

Please include your forums name, forums member number, real name, and where you live[/b]. Also include if you'd like to bring a guest, and their name/location.
I will only post your forums name on the list but I need the other information for M&H (they list and sign in everyone who attends the tour).
FYI, the factory is in Haverhill, MA (pronounced Heyvrill). About 45 minutes north of Boston.
If any PianoWorld members would like to stay in Haverhill overnight, there is a Best Western Merrimack Valley Lodge nearby.
www.bwmerrimackvalley.com This is the hotel M&H uses to accommodate their dealers (and themselves) when they host training seminars.
The hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the factory.
I will start posting a list of names soon, and post any updates as they happen. I already have some names for the list, but don't assume I have yours.
This post is locked because I don't want it to wander off topic.
