After 6:00. If I recall correctly, the last party there didn't really get hopping until after midnight and didn't stop until the cops broke it up around 5:00 a.m.

Here's Cathy's website for location:

Hi guys -
I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night.
I'll do the food. Just bring beer, wine, etc. thumb
All the best,
Cathy

Cathy,

Things don't look like they're working out for this weekend. The family just has too many commitments. Aaaaargh!

Next time!

Best,

Having not heard from Cathy for a while, I was afraid I'd again drive down to Arlington...find myself alone...and cold...with my nose pressed up against the window of a darkened piano store...the window sign that reads "Go away markb!"

Of course, not like that's ever happened to me before...

Thanks very much Cathy, for offering to arrange food. I would like to suggest that everyone pitch in say $5 or $10. There's no reason why Cathy should be burdened.

Also, I'll make something -- a cheesecake or "Viennese brownies".

See you all this evening!

Regards, Peter

I want to thank Cathy for hosting another successful piano party. It was great seeing people that I met last time and meeting new people. The quality of musicianship (except for mine, of course), was inspiring.

Ah, markb, you were very inspiring - and you would have brought the house down had it not been for your incompetent duet partner. You really need to be more selective in who you choose to work with! laugh

Seriously, it was a great party with wonderful, talented friends and supporters. Once again, Cathy provided us with a room chock full of beautifully prepared instruments. My favorites are still the AF 190 (polished pyramid mahogany) and the similarly sized Grotrian (satin mahogany). They are both a pleasure to play!

Thanks, again, to our beautiful hostess, Cathy, and to all the party-goers for bringing an evening of warmth, richness, and texture into my life!

Hi, jon-nyc!

I think Cathy took most of the pictures (and we think that her battery wasn't working for a few of them). At any rate Cathy is in Germany, now, so my guess is that it will be a while before pictures are posted.

Will I be seeing you at Joe's party?

Especially the one of that human pyramid we did. Next time, though, I'm going on top.

But ya gotta admit, markb, a 9' Schimmel looks pretty cool with a human pyramid atop!
