OK, I'm FROM Michigan. Born, raised, educated through college. (Kalamazoo, Suttons Bay (TC area), Michigan State U. respectively). I no longer live there (in Washington DC, suburban Maryland now), but am enjoying seeing the MI connection here. In fact, I'll be in MI in about a week for a few days visiting Mom. Maybe somone could throw a party...

... were throwin a party next weekend, but it's for my neighbors 60th birthday...a surprise party, we only hope we can get him out to it...

I rarely visit the "Fun Stuff" section of PW. Guess I'll have to fix that. I'm a thoroughbred Michigander - born and raised here, went to school here WSU grad, lived here all my life - had chances to relocate but never did - its still home. I didn't expect to see so many other Michiganders here. I'm living in Dearborn - walking distance to Greenfield Village - get to the UP as often as we can.

I grew up in Marine City, graduated from H.S. in Reed City (where I stopped growing up ) and graduated from Moo U. with a B.M. I still get to Mich. once or twice a year. I recently visited my old teacher from CMU which was wonderful after not having seen him for some 30 years.

Sounds like you all would have no problem rustling up a group for a Detroit area party. I might even be able to work it in with a visit to my Dad.

I am thinkin about a time frame early next year...

Keep us posted. I'd definitely try to make it if I could work it in with a visit to my Dad. I usually go right after the holidays, in early Jan.

I haven't forgotten...got a SuperBowl Party here next weekend and...well, too much and not enough time. Do want to host one tho...and in the near future, like before spring time...
