This is a feeler to see if I can rustle up interest in a party in Maine for the weekend of August 16 or 23. We are about a half hour up the Turnpike north of Portland - about 2 or 2 1/2 hours north of Boston (depending on how fast you drive ). I don't have any great lure except for my Seiler 180 which I promise to have freshly tuned and the glory of Maine during the summer months. Oh - and depending on how many people are interested, probably some form of lobster offering.

I will definitely come!

I would like to cast my vote for the wknd of Aug 16th. We will be at a family wedding in SW MO on the 23rd.
I hope this won't be another wedding that cuts into my piano party agenda!!

I'll be there! Storm chasing season is over, and it's only an 1-1/2 hours for me up Route 95. The 16th is the best for me too.

Well, now that there's a little bit of interest percolating, I'm going to throw a curve ball. A couple people at WTF have indicated that they can't make the either August date, so I was wondering if September might be better; I'm thinking maybe the 6th or 13th.

I know it's impossible to make it work for everyone, but I want to get a sense of who could/would come when.

We will try to attend either month. Sounds terrific. We will keep checking. I have alerted some of the Cape folks and will advise them of the possibility of Sept.also.

September 13-14 we will be in Wells, ME for a 2 day chili cook off at Wells Harbor. Of course, that means I would not be able to make the piano party, but you are all welcome to come to Wells on either day to taste some chili, if it is that weekend! It's a great cook off- craft vendors, food, chili, beautiful location right on the water.
Oh, heck, you're all welcome to come to ME for the cook off, even if Kathy's party is NOT that weekend! LOL

As for the party, the weekend of the 6th is open for me.

Either weekend in Sept would work for me.

I would try to make that one ....

Kathy and Jack are great hosts and I would love to attend if I wasn't going on a month-long road trip to the Pacific Northwest.

Wow! a lot of people from Maine here, I doubt I will be able to make it ( i'm off to school in MA in september) but it's great to see so many people from Maine!
