Details

The Mason & Hamlin web site

Interesting Factoid: If you search Google for Mason & Hamlin Factory Tour ... we have the top 2 slots :-)

Costs There is no charge for the tour. You are responsible for your own transportation and lodging.

General Information:
Keep in mind you will be touring a live factory in full production mode. Lots of dangerous machinery, tools, and many people moving around.

The group needs to stay together, stay out of the way of the workers, and LISTEN to what the tour director (Bruce Clark) is saying.

We do a LOT of walking (and standing). Wear comforable shoes and clothes. The factory is clean (other than sawdust), but you may brush up against a piece of machinery, pile of wood etc.

Our thanks to the Burgett's (owners), our own Cecil Ramirez (national sales rep), Bruce Clark (piano designer, technician, and tour moderator), and all the other fine folks at Mason & Hamlin for hosting this event.

FYI, the factory is in Haverhill, MA (pronounced Heyvrill). About 45 minutes north of Boston.

If any PianoWorld members would like to stay in Haverhill overnight, there is a Best Western Merrimack Valley Lodge nearby. www.bwmerrimackvalley.com

This is the hotel M&H uses to accommodate their dealers (and themselves) when they host training seminars.
The hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the factory.

Remember,
I will need your forums name, real name, and where you are from (town/city & state).
If you are bringing a guest, I will need their name and where they are from as well.

If your name hasn't been posted in the first post of this topic, I haven't counted you as part of the group yet.

If your name is there, but you can't make it, please let me know a.s.a.p. so we can open your spot for somebody else.

webmaster@pianoworld.com [subject line: Mason & Hamlin 2006 Tour]

As in the past, the tour group is limited to 25 people.

Please see the link at the top of the page for info about past tours.
If you are attending, please bring/wear comfortable shoes, we do a LOT of walking!

Pictures are allowed/encouraged.

Although the factory is clean (other than sawdust), there are a lot of machines (with protrusions, and possibly grease), and a lot of people working.

I will post additional details as I get them.

Frank,

I would like to add a possible guest. She is the owner of a 1907 Model AA that was inspected by the factory just before they started production.

Thanks,
John

Has there been any updates for the 06 tour? I'm trying to set up my vacation for next year and I REALLY want to attend the tour. Will it be around the same time frame as this years??

Sorry Monster M&H, missed your post.

I won't know for sure until we get closer.
But, the last two tours were on the same date.

Of course, this is all assuming M&H invites us back :-)
