What's the deal with not being able to post a parentheses in an HTML tag? For example I typed the less than sign to mean less than (and even tried the & lt ; designation which still didn't work) and put something in parentheses afterwards, and the forum fanged me in the gluteous maximus and told me I couldn't do that. Also, I tried to post a link like this one (I won't use the HTML tags I'll just paste the link:)

within some html / UBB tags in the other cases and it complained also.
Is there any way to fix this so parentheses are allowed in HTML tags, or it will recognize when they are legitimately needed? This has happened to me several times and I'm getting somewhat fed up with it.

And, it even complained when I tried it this time, so I deliberately "broke" that link so it would post. What the "aeolian spinets" do I have to do in order to make it work properly?
