I am actually looking for a good piano and at aareasonable price that my daughter can use it for years! I always think that a Yamaha is a better piano than other pianos. But the only Yamaha that I can afford is the T121(AUD 5550) which is made in japan but I was told that the materials are actually made in China and assembled in Japan. Is it true? Also I was told that the Kawai has a nicer & softer sound. As for me I don't really see any difference in sound. May be I am not good at listening!! The Kawai KX21 is cheaper after discount AUD4000 and looks good in value for a 121cm ht piano and had double underfelt. However I do not know whether the soundboard is a solid spruce as it doesn't say on its specifications.I was told by the seller to get the Kawai K3 which is made in japan and I can keep in for longer years as the kids can go up to university level to Grade 8 with it. Actually it doesn't look that there is a double underfelt in the Kawai k3! Does it make a difference? So will anyone be able to tell me which piano is the best one that I should get for a good price which can last me for ever as I am not intended to resell it!I know everyone say to get the one that I love the sound of the piano! Actually I couldn't see the differnce in sound. It looks everything the same sound to me. May be because they are all been tuned v well or I am not good at listening!! PLse help!! I have been looking around in some shops and of course the sellers will tell you to get the ones they sell. Unfortunately the sellers here sell either Kawai or Yamaha but not both brands! So it is harder for me to see the difference between the two pianos at the same shop!
