Hi everybody!
I noticed that there are many discussions on PW about recording acoustic pianos. There are threads about mic placement, mic selection, recording setups, various handheld devices, etc. And these threads pop up in several different forums (e.g., Pianist Corner, Adult Beginner Forum, Member Recordings, Just for the Fun of It!, Piano Forum, and Pianist Corner - Non Classical).
I realize a new forum might be unnecessary. However, people may find it helpful if future threads about recording are consolidated into a single forum.
Well, just a thought...

Phil, I SOOOOOO agree!!! After having a look around several sites for info recently we still went through AGONIES trying to record a beautiful grand that was never going to happen because of the room acoustics. We are now recording on my more modest upright but, because of the room, it is really easy... I'm sure all the guys here would've sorted that one out for us in a jiffy had everything been in one place... ~Hazel my dumb piano blog: http://hazelquinn.bravejournal.com
