I recommend that there must be some place where members can post their info about composers as well as background info on their piano pieces. This sometimes plays a major roll in how a pianist must perform the piece.... so why not put something up about that?
If there already is such a place, please refer me to it - coz I haven't be able to find it!

Yes, I agree. It would be neat to have a "musicology forum," or something like that.
Somewhere to talk not so much about the actual performing aspects, but about the composers themselves and the history behind their music, about the various "styles" (eras) of classical music, the evolution of various forms (sonata, concerto, etc), the socio-cultural environments in which the great composers composed, etc.
