Hi,I am upgrading my daughter's piano. She has been playing a rather small Yamaha upright (about 110cm)for almost 9 years. She is hoping to upgrade to one with a heavier touchweight and less bright in tone. She is very comfortable with Yamaha and we have narrowed our choice to U1 or U5 (she has found the tone of U3 to be less desirable). Hope to get help on the following 2 questions from people with experience in the Yamaha U series. Thank you.

1. Is the U5 made with a heavier touchweight than the U3? My daughter played both and thought it was so but would like to have a confirmation.

2. The price of U1 is about 70% of U5. What reasons would one have to pay that extra for the U5?

Hi, typo-error on question 1- is the U5 heavier than the U1 (not U3).
