Hi, this is my very first post, and I can't seem to find where to post a new member introduction.

Since you have so many members, and since new ones join all of the time, could you create a forum for new people. If there already is one, please direct me there or make it more visible.

If admins are against it, then where should I post?

I don't think we usually introduce ourselves. Usually we just notice when someone new arrives, and we welcome him to the forum.

But, if you're going to introduce yourself, that's fine, too. Welcome, welcome, welcome!

DantheMan... yes, welcome to PianoWorld! I agree with your request for new members to have a dedicated place for their first post. There's nothing like a proper introduction!

Many new members join to ask one question and then disappear. But for new members who plan to stick around, become involved and share their piano/music interests, and who might also be interested in hooking up with other members for gatherings and get-togethers, I agree with your request for a new member intro spot.

I guess we'll just wait and see what Frank (aka the great and powerful Oz behind the curtain!!)thinks is the best route to take.
