Hi I am unable to find the feature here though I am pretty sure its a default feature that most forums have, including this one.

When I post a message on a thread, I am hoping to be alerted by default whenever there is any reply to the post, however I am unable to find where I can set the alert.

Currently I am not being alerted when there is a reply to my post, therefore I have to manually log into the piano world forum to check if I have received any reply.

Please help

Hi scmay,

Make sure you are using the full reply form when you make a topic or post a reply. Below the graemlins (smileys) and URL / Bold / etc buttons is a section called options. The first checkbox is for email notifications for the current thread.

Is there a way to turn on email notification without having to post a reply to a thread?

I think those notification features are only for private PM's.
