Betty, I wonder how many people read this post, and thought, "Oh, I'd like to be another Rubinstein (or whomever)," or something along the line of concert performer.

My initial thought was, "A free standing studio with at least two 7' grands, a small recital room, and a couple of practice rooms, two more days a week to teach, and all my students really excited about their learning."

Then I thought, darn, that sounds too much like a teacher!

Get my masters and doctorate in piano performance and be the founder of a prestigious and good music school in hawaii...for highschool and college level work.

But that'll be a few years...gotta get my bachelor's first.

Yes, please do write an opera!

What is it about?

Which language?

I'm curious.

Betty

Well, I would like it to be biblically based, about Jesus' life, death and resurrection. I love the Italian language, but since I don't have a librettist and my Italian is very basic, it will most likely be in English.

Anyway, I'll be thrilled if I even get started on it this summer. \:\)

All I want to do is teach music.
Teaching in my own high school'd be brilliant.
Right now, that feels like dreaming big!

Okay here's dreamimg big!

Imagine a warehouse full of all every grand piano make, and you get a chance to play them all! Experience playing every one! And no one else is there, just you!

That would not only be a big dream, that would be pure fun!

I know it would turn out to be rather shocking in this high-class fine piano forum with even members aged over 60 (which I think is cool by the way), but it has always been my dream since I discovered the scene four years ago. I discovered classical music through Rachmaninoff three years later, but I've always preferred more extreme music (mostly with keys involved).
