I posted a few weeks ago about my son's situation (totally bored in a group lesson but we weren't sure whether he could handle private lessons). Just want to thank you all again for your help.

We ended up talking with three private lesson teachers and chose one. My son already had a couple of lessons. They were more intense than I hoped for, so I talked to the teacher and he said he is willing to make adjustments anytime. But my son took it better than me. So far he is good at practising, and he actually went through the little book the teacher gave him and picked out pieces that he liked and learned them by himself. If things keep going this way I'll know that we made the right decision. There will be enough group activity for my son since the teacher is at a local music school and the school has all sorts of events for students.
