Does anyone here know of decent software for generating sight-reading exercises? What I'd ideally like is to be able to 1) pick a key and 2) set some basic complexity rules (for example, use only quarter notes, or mix eighth and quarter notes and triplets, etc.), and then have exercises randomly generated so they come out different every time. I'd also like to have the ability to have the computer play the example so I can see if I'm getting it right.

Sight-reading exercise books are all well and good, but they have a finite number of examples in each key, and I can only work through the exercises a few times before they become familiar. This is such a perfect candidate for a computer program, and I know some must exist.

Has anyone found something they'd recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Dear Bob,
Soft Way to Mozart - is the best software to go!
You may go to www.doremifasoft.com or softmozart.com
I would recommend you to see all the videos and download demos ( you have digital piano - so you would need a cable to connect it to PC)
