I just received info from MuBus, a Music Teachers on-line payment processing company. It sounds appealing ... "we guarantee all of your payments deposited in your bank account on the 15th of every month ... don't worry about going to the bank, tracking payments, or discussing money issues with your students." Does anyone have experience positive or negative with this? Thanks!!

I don't have experience with this but it sounds stupid. First of all, I've only once had one nsf cheque that wasn't amended. Secondly, you can ask for 5 post-dated cheques twice yearly dated the first of the month. Some people only want to give three cheques, but others give you ten cheques right off the bat.

Essentially receiving payment has to be a personalized event. Everybody wants to be treated individually and when you ask for money, you also interact with your employers, perhaps discussing progress or increasing lessons length at the same time. If you are having problems getting your money, you are not adequately convincing the customer of your worth or you've picked some real duds.
