Searching for a teacher in S. FL

I would like to start taking lessons again after 28-years. I took lessons from age 7 to 17 and played regularly for the first few years after that, but have hardly played since. I don't see any teachers listed for my area in Piano World and wondered if anyone on this forum could help. I've looked in my local listings on the web and yellow pages, but everyone seems geared for kids. I would need someone in Miami-Dade or Broward counties. Thanks,

Have you tried the MTNA (Music Teacher's National Association)? If you go to www.mtna.org you can do a search for Florida to find FL. state affiliate. Our state MTA (Arizon)has a website with the ability to search for teachers. FL. will probably have something similar. Good Luck! Cranky Woman

Dear CW: Thanks for the tip. I looked up my state on the MTNA website and there was one teacher listed. Unfortunately, she's located kind of far from me, but I will look her up. Vicky

Lightnin: Great website! I found 16 teachers in my area (about 5 right in my neighborhood). The complete listings are very helpful. Thank you, Vicky
