It looks interesting to me. I will say that some of the very elementary motions are motions that advanced players use but I've never seen them started quite so early in a method book.

Some of the terminology is different than I learned but the weighted touch practice is the same, no matter how you label it. I also like the pieces in the repertoire books, what I have looked at so far anyway. They are all originals. Anybody else?

Pathways to Artistry Repetoire is awesome. With all the technique tips printed right on the music, students can work on technique as they learn & practice the piece.

You're right, there are also several really nicely written compositions in the Repetoire Pathways to Artistry, Book 1. This is a book all of my students travel through and seem to enjoy.

The pieces are categorized in the style of Baroque, Classical, etc. so that can lead to discussing music history with a student.
