My piano teacher called me this past Sunday to cancel my lesson because she had been in a car accident. She said to call her in a few days which I have done, she has not returned my calls.

About a year ago she just stopped teaching without explanation, again didn't return my calls, and I ended up going to another teacher who for me was the wrong choice. By some fluke, I'd sent her a holiday card, she contacted me and we started again in January 2005. I've written this so that you can understand why I'm a little uneasy about this and we still have two more lessons to go. We set up a fee arrangement to pay in advance, which has worked out fine for me and her.

She's an excellent teacher, I really hope we can resume, but I feel it's "de ja vu" all over again.

Any suggestions - thanks for reading this long-winded post. \:\(

Perhaps give her a few more days and call again. She's probably very busy. If after week you hear nothing, you could drop by and see if she's in, or leave a message in her post box, stating that you hope she is well.

Hi Candyman,

She called a few days ago and has recovered. I think the airbag caused most of the problems. We set up a lesson for this weekend.

Thanks for getting back to me. \:\)

Glad to hear she's on the mend. My mom was in a really minor car accident about 3 years ago. The airbag caused her terrible injuries. Absolutely frightening!
Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.
