How much do you like Pischna (Little, 60 Progressive Exercises and Technical Studies)? I only know Little Pischna and like it very, very much! Which are the technical difficulties involved in the Progressive Exercises and the Technical Studies? Would these methods be commendable and complementary to Hanon and Pozzoli?

Pischna and Dohnanyi in their full form involve holding down notes while playing others. They require careful supervision, because there is some risk of injury.

However, as high level differentiation exercises, played very slowly, they can improve control and relaxation markedly.

If you play these you must always stop before you become uncomfortable, and never play through pain.
