A question for teachers

I would love to give my piano teacher a nice gift. I gave her a box of candy for the holidays because I didn't really have any idea what her tastes were like. I really enjoy my lessons and I really appreciate everything she does to help me be a better pianist. I was considering giving her two tickets to a piano concert at the Meyerson in Dallas, but I'm concerned that maybe she would rather spend her free time not listening to more music. Any suggestions, or can someone comment on the "best gift" a student gave them?

Flowers or even better : a plant. Especially if you see she seems to love them. (...and a bottle of wine as well). A good friend was offered a big Reblochon cheese from Savoie by her Japanese student.

RKVS1 and Benedict: Thanks for the suggestions. I like the idea of the local restaurant gift certificates. My lesson is at 8:30PM and most of the time she has her dinner (take out) arriving just about the time I am wrapping up. Benedict: I'm glad to see you are still around! I thought those guys over at the coffee room drove you away. I never imagined a group of people could try to devour each other like that. It reminds of the Lord of the Flies.

Some of the nicest gifts I've gotten are a small clock in a wooden frame, a big chocolate log, a beautiful notebook with a ribbon to find your place, and stationery. I've also gotten gift certificates to bookstores and cd stores. I'd love to receive a gift certificate to a piano music store but this has never happened.
Hope this helps.

For those who are interested, I got my teacher a gift certificate to Macaroni Grill. My wife is going to give it to her when she takes our son to lessons on Thursday. Thanks again for all the great ideas. Jon
