I've given 2 lessons to a blind 15 yr. old and it looks like I get to give her more.. She is very smart, relies heavily on her memory... she can remember anything, has sung for her choir for 5 years and has been putzing around.

I taught her how to play the C scale, the chords C, F, G, G7 and A minor, taught her how to add melody with the right hand that accompanies those chords, how to play a simple Ode to Joy, and Heart and Soul. She learned that all in one month with only one lesson.

Has anyone taught the blind? I found a link

http://www.musicvi.com/VIpage.html

which I suppose her mom will buy for her. I have had no experience with the Suzuki style of learning.

Any suggestions on how to teach her - I can read and tape theory info for her. I don't know how to teach her to develop her aural memory - I guess that's what you'd call it..

Apple...

I have to gave you so much credit on teaching a blind...to me, as a teacher, that means you have to come up with so many creative ways for her remember what she is learning, i never taught a blind, but I guess you will have to build your teaching approach through her ears....since that's the only way she can learn....

I wander of there are music for the blinds?
