Hi,

I'm just beginning to learn arpeggios, and have a mild sore right arm - I'm left handed so I wonder if it's a case of my right arm getting over use or I might be tense without realizing it. I don't have this problem with my left arm.

How do I get around this annoying problem? Do other students have this experience? Thanks for your input. \:\)

Which part of the arm is sore? Closer to the elbow? The wrist? Is it pain, stiffness, or tingling? What hand/wrist/arm movements seem to worsen the discomfort? Do the sensations stop once away from the piano? In what manner are you executing the arpeggios? The more info, the better to help you improve your mechanics and alleviate the problem.

Hi,

A few days after writing this post, I went to my lesson and my piano teacher solved the problem before I could even mention it.. had something to do with wrist movement and the problem, thankfully has been solved.

Thanks for getting back to me. \:\)
