I've spent a year with a church pianist during high school but she was frustrated with my habit of learning by ear. After I graduated, I spent the majority of my time working and composing my own pieces (with a loop station and still by ear) but I still lack the qualities and discipline I feel I will need in the future. Please contact me if there are any very serious teachers who are willing to devote there time to educate me. Preferably focusing on classical influences.

Put your zip code and instrument - piano into a search and the closest piano teachers to you will come up in a profile which you can read and you can contact them and inquire if they will interview with you to get acquainted.

Isn't there an Army base (Fort Stewart?) in Hinesville? Is there a military band assigned there? Community College nearby with a music department?

In addition to following the classics with a serious student, you might consider asking this new teacher if she can work with a learns by ear, plays by ear piano player who want to learn classics. You might be able to have the best of both styles in one teacher. Some serious teachers also improvise and compose.
