Ok, I have to be done with this now, it`s distracting me from my exam pieces :-) It`s not very polished I`m afraid, I blame USAPianoTrucker - every time I nearly had it ready I ended up sticking more octaves all over the place and that was his idea :-)

Hey, another fun rag from Will! You are the most-downloaded ragtime player on my computer!

The first two measures are a nice intro, but did you mean to do them "freely" (which works)? On my sheet music they are each a measure (two foot-taps) long - so the second chord comes when my foot is "up" and hangs on thru another beat, and then the next 8th note chord comes on the 3rd foot-tap at the beginning of the next measure, so that that's the way the syncopation works.

But I like the whole feel of your rags, and the dynamics are getting to be your trade-mark to me - they're great. And the octaves of course are awe-inspiring (when they're not jealousy inspiring \:D ).

Good luck on your exam pieces.

Cathy

They are aren`t they - how sloppy of me :-( Now I listen without playing it`s not right as you say.
I think I`ll record it again when it`s a bit cleaner and render the intro more faithfully as well.
I`m thrilled that you like my playing thankyou :-)

I`ve replaced it with a more polished effort now...

Will - nice. Very jaunty - did you wear your straw hat tilted over your brow while playing? \:D

I want to find a smokey pub with an old upright in the corner so I can play it. Not much chance of that though as smoking inside is banned from the day after tomorrow and no pubs where I live have pianos in any case :-)
