My Tchaikovsky 1st from my last recital. (Side note: I had a last minute accompanist change, and a friend from my studio agreed to play with me the night before the performance. We had one rehearsal on the day of the recital.)

2nd mvt: http://www.savefile.com/files/1714190
3rd Mvt: http://www.savefile.com/files/8102424

We're not quite together at the end, and some of the tempos were a little faster than normal. But hey, it was live.

I've started listening to it, but can't do justice to the listen right now. (I'm in the process of moving apartments and starting a new job...etc etc.) But I will get back to you when I have time to sit down, breathe and listen well. \:\)

I couldn't be more jealous of your technique!

I have nothing else to say besides that was great. The accompanist was even great. I would have been much happier if it was an orchestra but, hey what can you do?

Your Waldstein is also amazing. Thanks for the recordings.

Thanks Skriabin. For as hard as I worked on the Tchaik, I still feel there are certain sections that just OWN me. The octaves in the middle of the first movement are just killer, and there is a 2-bar passage in the Prestissimo of the second movement which I've NEVER been able to hit in performance. The parallel runs at the end of the last movement just before the coda make my fingers want to fall off. Rachmaninoff feels like butter in my hands compared to Tchaik.

Why is it that I like the two piano version better than the piano + orchestra version???

Anyway, I think that it was a great performance! It had fire (well, you had fire, because 2nd piano apparently had to roll quite a few chords and that diminished the effect), lyricism, and energy. Good job!

I second that xyz, I have only heard the orchestral version before and I like this very much.

Thank you for sharing blaude.

Congratulations blaude. I enjoyed your playing very much and listened to it a couple of times.
The sound was very good too. Could you please give some information about the pianos and where this has been recorded.

Regards,

Hakki.
