I shot this 72 second clip when my Steinway was 3 months old. The piano was going out of tune a bit, and the upper register had not yet been voiced, so some notes sound a bit 'dead'. Anyway, here it is:

Thanks, Terry. I'm glad you like it. I can play the entire movement, but the video capacity makes really big files!

very nice plays... watched and listed to the entirety yesterday. How did you do it? (put a camera on a shelf?)

How did you save and share it?

My oldest daughter, who is a transplant in CO, sends me a video clip of her children that she takes with her digital camera. After recording she places 3 or 4 of them on a cd and then fwds the cd to us.

I'm guessing that you recorded from your digital camera???

It was great watching the hand motion while listening.

I'm ready to hear the next movement any time you are ready, Plays!

Wonderful!

The sound was a little distorted. Is this actually there or do I have a problem on my end?

I will have to try doing some video.

Thank you for sharing!

Mark

I put my digital camera on a tripod next to the piano. I have a digital recorder and made several recordings on it, but the built in mic is horrible and so are the recordings. The camera actually has better sound than that. (maybe I need a plug in mic?)

I attempted to upload the mpg file to Frank, but got a message saying it didn't accept those particular files. So Gryphon kindly said he'd host it for me.

I appreciate everyone's nice comments. Thank you!

Plays - I just saw this thread sounds very nice. My dig camera doesn't record sound but in the past I've used an analog camcorder to record my practice sessions. We recently got some mics so I'm still toying with the right placement of those to get decent sound.
