Hi, I'm new here. I've known about this site for a while but for some reason never signed up. Introduction: I'm an obsessive improviser. Improvisation comprises the vast majority of effort that goes into piano playing for me. Here's an improvisation I recorded a few nights ago. improv

I recorded that improvisation, and most improvisations that I've made this year, on a Roland F-100 digital piano. The nice thing about a digital is it makes it so easy to record. You just plug in a stereo jack to it and hit record on your computer, bam, nice stereo pan, great bass, clear treble. Also, I often play back my recordings from the digital at a higher speed (usually 10 to 20 bpm faster, maybe more if the music calls for it) Here's some more(all improv) Suite of Short pieces Suite of Short pieces in varying idioms Fantasia, followed by some short pieces again Longer form improvisation, "Tone Poem."

Here's an improv I recorded July 25th. Enjoy! To give you a frame of reference of what it sounds like, it is definitely in the "intense Romanticism" camp but with lots of "wrong" chord changes. July 25th Improvisation

Thanks mahlzeit! It all started with a good friend of mine saying: "Just get both your hands moving in some scale or other. It'll sound alright."
