Hi everyone. I just recorded this today (11/11), and would like to share it. There are a few mistakes in my playing, and I would definetely like to improve my playing of it. I've been playing it for about one and a half months. I find this Rachmaninoff prelude is rather underplayed compared to the other preludes in the same opus. It's a very beautiful piece though. I'm playing this piece for an exam in February of next year, and it would be extremely helpful if you guys could give me some suggestions to improve it. Anyways comments are welcome and greatly appreciated. Link: http://savefile.com/files/5999596 Thanks for listening/replying!

I would love to give you advice, but three things hinder this ability: 1. I am not terribly familiar with the piece. 2. I couldn't find a copy of the score. 3. I'm half-'durnk' right now. I must say that, with my limited knowledge, that was a very good rendering, and I really appreciated it. I think, overall, musically-speaking, you will be fine. Unfortunately I cannot give more hearty words than that. But good playing.

Half drunk is a pleasant state. Much better than full on drunk.
I'll have a listen later today and offer what comments I can. On my way to a recital right now.
Edit: I've had a chance to listen to it. Good job and thanks for posting it.
I think you'll be in good shape for your exam in February. It's obviously a little tentative right now, since it's so new. If you haven't already, I'd spend some time considering the pacing of your melody, and let that dictate the flow of the inner voices (the flow seems to be dictated right now by the inner voices). Be soloist and accompanist at the same time; as the soloist demand your accompanist follow your every whim.
I can't wait to hear it in a couple months.
