GreenRain,

I liked that very much, and can offer a few comments:

In bars 2, 4, 6, etc.—where there is a half note ending one phrase and a quarter note commencing the next phrase—it felt as though you were not quite giving the half notes their full value (i.e., the quarter notes were coming in just a tiny bit too soon).

Also, keep in mind that those quarter notes don't just function only as upbeats for the next measure; each one starts a new phrase, so try to avoid any gap between those upbeats and the first notes of measures 3, 5, 7, etc. (Obviously, it shouldn't feel like the upbeat is connected to the downbeat with a slur, but I do think it should unquestionably be legato.)

I think this piece is Chopin's most perfect "miniature"; it's short and sweet, but it suffers if the tempo drags or if it's played with any oversentimentalized rubato. In these respects, I think you did just fine. \:\)

It's nice to hear you play finally.

Steven

One suggestion: try to putting tiny breaks after at least some of the phrases.

Oops, I crossed posted, missed your reply. You mentioned most of what I had in mind. \:\)
