There are plans for a Rachmaninoff 2 and Prokofieff 3 video soon--but for now, I've been asked if an audio with Chopin montage could be put on You Tube. I agreed, and it features the Double Thirds Etude from a live performance. The photos were compiled and arranged by Matthew Cameron, the pianist who expertly arranged Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik which is at You Tube and published by International Edition.
Here's the link--if it doesn't work, you can type in my name for the tags:

Thanks for the PMs everyone--glad you like it. Op 10 #4 should come soon--that came from an impromptu performance for the CBC radio in Toronto--sometimes the ones we don't prepare for are the best--and it's so easy to screw up what we work hardest on--go figure.

Fantastic playing! I hope I hear you live someday - I'll keep my eyes open for concert announcements.

Nice! For those who may not have seen Jeffries link (I didn't)... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Dqtb8KE2ZY Interestingly, I don't seem to see a link to Piano World on Mr. Biegel's web site though. An oversight I'm sure :-) I happen to know some of his upcoming concerts, from some emails we've been exchanging... Concerts: Mississippi Symphony April 13, Gershwin Concerto in F, then South Bend Symphony April 21, Liebermann 3, and recital in Lynbrook Library (where I'm from) with my arr. of Vivaldi Four Seasons, some Liszt, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and solo Rhapsody in Blue in the restored 1924 edition.

Amazing playing of course but I think that study is pretty unexciting - I wanna` hear you play something else :-)

I remember my first experience playing it for Adele Marcus, who herself played it at age 13 as the story goes. Her teacher was Josef Lhevinne--whose recording is legendary--however, she did say he never played it that fast-it was the recording that was sped up to fit on the LP-I played it too fast, and she was really angry!! She said, 'Don't imitate that recording by Mr. Lhevinne--it isn't the way he played it in public'. It's now played at the proper pace.

hehe, that's really funny about the Lhevinne LP! I wish I could play it ALMOST at tempo... So far it is going very slow..Decided to work on op 10 no 2 for a while instead, a good one for 3-4-5 chromatics which is necessary for op 25 no 6.
