Nice improv. smile I can tell it was good, because I started to hear my own melody/improv on top of it...and that means I liked it. wink

Every day we are afforded a new chance. The problem with life is not that you run out of chances. In the end, what you run out of are days.

Hi Vitaly

Now thats a grabber!!

Sounded like a beautiful intro to me...I wanted to hear more...much more!!!

Would you mind telling me what the chords were?..and maybe even an idea of your thinking behind them?

Regards

Lee

Thanks for all your kind words guys.
Lee, you're gonna laugh at this but I had to listen what I recorded to write down the cords for you. It's something like this
| F | B7+ | Dm7 | G7 | Gm7 | C7/9- | F | Gm7 Gb7 |
| F | Gm7/5-/11 | Em7/13 A9-/13 | Am7/D D7/5-/9- | Gm7/9 | Db7/9 | C7/9 | F B | F |
No specific ideas just II-V progressions, tritone subs, turnarounds...

Regards,
Vitaly.

Vitaly

Thanks for the answer

I wouldn't laugh at your answer at all...I think it beautiful (and talented) that you played that without a thought.

It had a jazzy feel to it? tell me do you study jazz, classical, both or do you play by ear? and one more question how long have you been playing?

Sorry to ask so many questions but, when I hear something that moves me.

I've just got to know...a little more.

Its a shame that some of the pianists who play jazz and pop (my interests) don't post more of their recordings. I like to pick at talented brains but, unfortunately know nothing much about classical music ( even though I know, I know... I should)

regards

Lee,

I went to a music school when I was a teen but didn't play much afterwards. A few years back I started to play again and ever since I got my lovely Estonia I practice just about daily. I take jazz lessons twice a month, play some standards and pop tunes by ear, rarely play classical stuff, but do a lot of scales, Hanon's things etc.

Vitaly.
